Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage is the gold standard of relaxation massage. It involves long, gliding strokes designed to bring about the relaxation response. Sessions are 60, 75, orĀ 90 minutes.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage, when done skillfully and slowly, works to release deeply held tension in muscles and surrounding tissue. Like all other massage modalities, it speaks to the nervous system, which is ultimately responsible for tensing and relaxing muscles.

Trigger Point Massage

Trigger points are knots in the belly of a muscle. Trigger point massage is often a component of Deep Massage and involves very specific work to soften and release muscle knots. Sessions are 60, 75 and 90 minutes.

Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral Therapy is a powerfully relaxing light touch massage technique. It is an alternative to traditional skin-contact massage, as it is done through clothing. It is excellent for anyone who would like to remain clothed or who prefers to be touched without the use of cream or oil. Sessions are 60 or 75 minutes.

Acupressure

Acupressure is a light touch technique. It is done by pressing with the thumb or fingers on points on the body called Acupoints. Acupressure is done through the clothing or it can be integrated with other forms of massage such as Swedish or Deep Tissue. Sessions are 60 and 75 Minutes.

Private Yoga Lessons

Can be done at my studio or in your home. I customize all yoga lessons to match what my clients are comfortable with and what suits their bodies and their overall goals for themselves. Lessons can incorporate movements that are very gentle (yoga can even be done in a chair!) to more energetic. All yoga lessons involve attention to the breath, as well as controlled breathing techniques.

Meditation Lessons

Can be done at my studio or in your home. I structure meditation lessons according to the needs of my clients. Some people like to sit and do controlled breath-work, others like to sit in silence, and some prefer to concentrate on a word or a sound. A meditation lesson can be incorporated into a yoga lesson (meditation often occurs at the end of a yoga session) or can exist by itself.

Meditation With Music

I lead group meditations that are set to beautiful, live music. I work with Scott Haskitt, a professional musician and composer. Scott plays electric guitar, bass guitar and drums, and is also a professional singer.

While Scott plays, I lead the practice, which consists of simple yoga and meditation exercises to help relax and steady the mind.
